Jay Joshi, MD, MBA

Dr. Jay Joshi is the CEO and Founder of Output Medical. He started Output Medical as an intern at the University of Illinois Medical Center and had led the venture from initial intellectual property creation through two rounds of angel investment funding. He focused on investments from physicians, serial life science entrepreneurs, and former medical device executives. He contributed to the intellectual property, developed the financial models and business plan, and is first author for the clinical study to be conducted at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
Dr. Jay Joshi is a practicing primary care physician with a keen interest for innovations in health care. He works in a private practice group in Northwest Indiana in which he manages patients in the hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, and at-home setting. Additionally, he helped develop an angel investment syndicate of Physician-investors called MD Angels. MD Angels has completed four investments in its two-year history. He advises health care start-ups in the Midwest on developing a value proposition and unit economic model based upon set clinical management protocols and academic articles.
He received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Illinois Medical in 2009 through the accelerated MD/BS medical program, and received his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2011. He completed his internship at the University of Illinois Medical Center in 2012.

Bill L. Bowles is a business executive with over 30 years of senior leadership experience within the healthcare industry. The majority of Bill’s career was with Abbott Laboratories and Hospira. Bill now mentors biotech and medical device start-ups, advising entrepreneurs to bring advanced healthcare technology to market.
Mark Holterman (MD-PhD) is an academic pediatric surgeon with extensive experience in clinical medicine and biomedical research. Dr Holterman is the founder of Mariam Global Health which is dedicated to finding and developing promising biotechnology to advance global healthcare.
Robert Altman, MBA, PhD
Former Pharmaceutical & Biologics Executive
Previously, Robert Altman served as senior executive at Pinnacle Biologics (the U.S.- based subsidiary of Concordia Healthcare), Marathon Pharmaceuticals, Astellas Pharma and Abbot Laboratories. He is currently a board member of Toltec Pharmaceuticals and Preora Diagnostics.
